These posters and postcards were created for advertising the Institute of Medical Science's annual Scientific Day held at the University of Toronto. They were distributed throughout campus and Toronto University Health Network. The postcards were sent to the students and faculty of University of Toronto's health and science program.
This animation was created as part of a web-based surgical decision support tool for patients undergoing rectal surgery. It is intended to familiarize the viewer with the pelvic anatomy.
My Masters Research Project was the design and development of a flash based patient education website for patients of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit of Toronto Western Hospital.
Through the amalgamation of video, animation and illustration, the website guides the user through their personal journey at the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. It familiarizes the user with the monitoring process, surgical options and with the Epilepsy Team.

I am a recent graduate from the Biomedical Communications masters program at the University of Toronto. Biomedical Communications is the unique interdisciplinary field that bridges visual art and design with the world of science, medicine and health. From creating illustrations and animations, to implementing design and visualization solutions, a biomedical communicator uses their artistic talent to enhance the understanding of science in fields such as patient education, scientific research and health promotion.
In addition to illustrating brains and colons, I have an ever growing passion for web design, graphic design and typography, and will take on any project heavily involving them!
No matter how small the project, I pride myself on keeping an open door concept with every client when it comes to communication. Having the client leave happy with every last detail perfect is one of the most important aspects of my job. With that said, here is what I offer:
Having a clean, intuitive interface is the most important part of a website. With experience working in both flash and HTML, I can provide that, along with a uniquely creative style.
First comes the research, then the planning and sketching, and finally the rendering. For illustrations and animations I use a variety of software including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Cinema 4D to create my artwork.

I have an extensive knowledge on the theory behind effective design and typography, and I like to use it! I do wedding invitations, logo design, flyers, postage, and business cards.
